Truck Driver
Our client is looking for Truck Drivers to join our busy team.
Some of the tasks related to this position would be:
- Deliver in a timely, efficient and safe manner cylinders to customers, within company
guidelines, providing a high level of customer service, in a courteous and safe manner and escalate all customers comments, questions and complaints as necessary. - To follow all company policies, procedures and guidelines and escalate any concerns as necessary, including external regulatory requirements when carrying out their duties
- To handle customer complaints with courtesy and where necessary, pass them on to the Manager/Owner.
- To report all accidents, injuries and incidents to the Manager/Owner as soon as practicable but no later than the end of your shift.
- To adhere to all health, safety and security procedures established on site & while delivering LPG bottles
- To be prepared to work overtime and take additional responsibilities as requested by the Manager/Owner.
- Meet all company policies and legal obligations in respect of operating vehicles and any other equipment , including requirements of licences, endorsements and certificates.
- Participate in an on-call roster, responding promptly to gas outs & unscheduled deliveries as required.
- To assist to test the LPG bottles, decant the bottles, cylinder maintenance, cylinder
refurbishment. - Ensure the depot, vehicles and equipment checks are carried out and are maintained,
cleaned & documented as per company standards. - To attend training courses and keep up to date with relevant information as directed
- Take an active role & contribute positively to a healthy and safe workplace.
- To report to the Manager/Owner any damaged equipment. The Manager/Owner must be informed immediately of any pumps that are out of order
- Telephones must always be answered promptly and in the manner instructed, and to be helpful and courteous to the caller
- To fill LPG bottles as required by the Manager.
- To maintain the truck, company vehicles & report any damage to Site Manager immediately
- Any other reasonable duties required of the employee by the employer.
Offered Wage: $30 - $36 per hour (based on experience)
Employment is full-time with a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Working on weekends, late evenings and being available on calls are required for this position.
You should have at least 1 year of Class 2 driving experience in New Zealand.
You should have a Full clean Class 2 driver’s licence. You should be able to provide previous work references. You should be physically fit to lift 20 kg weight to perform farm duties.
All suitable candidates should be able to pass a drug test and a Ministry of Justice check when required.
