About the Role
A growing financial services business is seeking an experienced Business Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations, business performance and administrative functions of the organisation while supporting ongoing business growth initiatives.
Reporting directly to the Director, this role will play a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, effective resource management, business performance monitoring and the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation.
This is a permanent, full-time role with days of work being Monday to Friday, 40 hours pr week at minimum and occassional additional hours or weekend work required to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan, organise and oversee daily business operations to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Develop, implement and improve operational systems, processes and procedures.
• Monitor workflow, productivity and operational performance across the business.
• Analyse business performance data and prepare management reports and recommendations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and resource planning activities.
• Support the development and implementation of business growth initiatives.
• Coordinate marketing activities and liaise with external marketing providers and contractors.
• Monitor marketing effectiveness and business growth metrics.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and business performance.
• Supervise and support administrative and operational staff.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding and staff development activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with business partners, suppliers and external stakeholders.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with company policies, procedures and relevant legislative requirements.
• Support risk management and quality assurance processes.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A minimum bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Commerce or a related discipline
- Or at least five years' relevant experience in business operations, administration, project management, resource management or a related management role.
- Demonstrated experience managing operational processes, staff and organisational performance.
- Experience preparing reports, analysing business performance and supporting management decision-making.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent organisational, leadership and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience leading operational improvement initiatives.
- Experience using CRM systems and business management software.
- Experience coordinating marketing activities and supporting business growth initiatives.
