HOURS PER WEEK: 30 per week
DAYS REQUIRED: 5 days (Monday – Friday)

WHO WE ARE:

Janah Engineering Limited was established in 2019 doing dairy, steam piping, industrial refrigeration and general engineering.


We are seeking an experienced Industrial Welder to assist with our major corporate and industrial clients. The role will involve supporting ongoing welding and fabrication requirements across various projects as needed.


The position is guaranteed 30 hours per week, with potential for additional hours depending on client demand and workload. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in industrial welding and be able to work to a high standard in line with industry and safety requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Interpret ISO and 3D drawings and blueprints to accurately measure, cut, and prepare metal components.
  • Welding to ASME and dairy standard including stainless
  • Set up and operate welding equipment including MIG, TIG, ARC, and gas welding systems.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures by joining components for frames, piping systems, machinery, and structural steel work.
  • Inspect, test, and evaluate weld quality to ensure strength, proper alignment, and absence of defects, including grinding and finishing welds as required.
  • Identify faults and carry out repairs on damaged metal equipment, working in both workshop and on-site industrial or construction environments.
  • Polishing stainless
  • Adhere to strict WorkSafe New Zealand health and safety standards to manage risks such as heat exposure, fumes, and fire hazards

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3 years of relevant experience as a Welder with stainless metal
  • Can read ISO and 3D drawings
  • Structural and Pipe fitting Skills
  • Polishing Skill to food Standard
  • Lifting and Rigging Skills
  • Can work Independently and within the team
  • Maintaining High Health and Safety Standard
  • Can work under pressure

  • Honest and trustworthy
