- Surface preparation and coating application across commercial and government sites
- Brush, roller, and spray equipment application on large-scale projects
- Reading and interpreting project specifications and drawings
- Working across commercial fitouts, new builds, healthcare, education, and industrial projects
- Delivering quality finishes to specification on every job
- Maintaining safe work practices on active commercial construction sites
- Proven commercial or industrial painting experience, residential-only backgrounds are not suitable for this role
- Trade qualification in Painting and Decorating strongly preferred
- Strong surface preparation and coating application skills across brush, roller, and spray
- Current White Card and valid driver's licence, both required
- EWP licence and Working at Heights certification are desirable and will make your application stand out
- Reliable attendance and high workmanship standards, John's top two filters
- Genuine willingness to relocate to Cairns and comfortable working in a regional setting long-term
