Carpenter

2 years relevant experience or a level 4 or above relevant qualification or a Bachelor Degree in any field.
Ability to work under pressure on a busy construction site.
Must be able to work on weekends and work overtime.
Physically fit the job and can work outdoors in the hot and cold season

Job Responsibilities

1. Reading and interpreting plans and drawings and determining materials, dimensions and processes in accordance with an understanding of job sheets.
2. Ordering and choosing materials for jobs based on the calculation of drawings and specifications (i.e. Sizes and installation) and completing blueprints and layouts.
3. Operating tools to cut, measure and shape timbers and materials with minimum waste/damage, and assembling and nailing parts to match requirements.
4. Marking out and erecting timber framework for walls and roofs.
5. Placing sub-flooring and floorboards following manufacturers and specifies guidelines, and examines structures.
6. Fitting and assembling prepared materials to form and construct structures for installation.
7. Installing fascia panels, doors, and window frames and fixing protective layers to the roofs and walls.
8. Renovating and repairing structures and fittings.
9. Cutting wood joints.
10. May construct concrete formwork, repair existing fittings, and work with plastic laminates, perspex and metals.
