Lees Carpets Ltd is a Floor Covering Wholesaling company based in East Tamaki, Auckland. We are currently seeking two Floor Finishers to join our team.

As a Floor Finisher with our company, you will work a minimum of 30 hours per week and be responsible for:

key Responsibilities:

• Prepare floor surfaces by removing old coverings, cleaning, levelling, and repairing subfloors as required.

• Sand, grind, and smooth timber and other flooring surfaces using hand and power tools.

• Apply stains, sealants, varnishes, polyurethane coatings, and other finishing products to flooring surfaces.

• Measure and inspect flooring areas to determine finishing requirements and ensure work meets project specifications.

• Repair damaged flooring surfaces and carry out touch-up work to achieve a high-quality finish.

• Operate and maintain floor sanding, polishing, and finishing equipment in a safe and efficient manner.

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met and rectify any defects where necessary.

• Carry out other duties as reasonably required by the employer or site supervisor.

 

About you:

  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in the same field OR
  • NZQCF Level 4 qualification or above,No specific major is required if you have a bachelor's qualification or above.
  • Physically fit with a clear criminal record.
