We have an exciting permanent opportunity for a Maintenance Lead to join the team based at our Tomoana, New Zealand site!
It is a Full Time role
Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Monitor and improve maintenance performance using key metrics safety, uptime, reliability, planned maintenance completion
- Lead and continuously improve the site’s maintenance management system and ways of working.
- Supervise maintenance teams on shift; coach, train, and assess performance and capability.
- Plan and coordinate weekly maintenance work with the planner, prioritise jobs and allocate resources.
- Ensure breakdown response, troubleshooting, and repairs are completed safely, correctly, and on time.
- Maintain accurate records in the maintenance system and train others to use it.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality requirements; conduct routine facility and equipment inspections.
- Manage people processes for direct reports
- Support hiring and oversight of internal trades and contractors for installations, repairs, and project work.
- Contribute to cost control: support budgeting, maintenance spend tracking, and materials/equipment inventory management.
About you:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Relevant Qualification preferred but not compulsory
- Knowledge including but not limited to the following areas: Packaging/Mechanical Operations, Electrical Maintenance (preferred), Instrumentation and Utility Systems
- Interpersonal and communications skills to motivate, empower, train, direct, lead, evaluate and coach a diverse group of team members to reach their fullest potential
- Ability to effectively plan and manage through change within large enterprise organisations
- Microsoft Office and computer system proficiency
- Ability to manage a continuous operation
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand with full working rights.
