We have an exciting opportunity for a Shift Manager to join our business based in Rotorua. We are seeking a motivated and responsible individual to supervise and coordinate store operations during assigned shifts, ensuring smooth daily functioning of the store in line with company procedures. This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours and up to 40 hours per week. The role requires flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required by the business.

Job Duties

·       Managing inventory levels, stock ordering, stock control, and stock replenishment during the shift.

·       Managing store operations during assigned shifts to ensure efficient and profitable business performance.

·       Maintain a clean and well-organised store environment

·       Collaborate with the team to develop and maintain visually appealing product displays and promotional setups to boost customer interest and sales.

·       You must establish procedures for purchasing products, developing marketing strategies to attract customers, and setting competitive prices during your shift.

·       You will be responsible for creating and carrying out promoted activities, advertisements, and special offers to increase sales and customer awareness.

·       You will be assisting customers with purchases and other financial activities to support business operations.

·       Your responsibility will be monitoring expenses, and ensuring the business operates within its financial limits.

·       Managing cash handling, banking, and end-of-shift financial reconciliations.

·       Monitoring sales performance and implementing strategies to achieve sales targets.

·       Ensuring high standards of customer service and resolving customer complaints.

·       Provide a safe work environment for staff and customers

·       Extraordinary leadership that inspires their team to achieve exceptional results

·       You will be providing training, allocating duties and overseeing staff performance during your shift.

·       You must ensure the workplace follows health and safety laws, maintaining a safe working environment, and addressing any hazards or risks.

·       Compliance of tasks to the “stated” Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSSE) policies and Food Safety Standards.

·       Connect with and get involved in supporting local community groups

·       Implementing company promotions and local marketing initiatives to drive sales growth.

Job Requirements:

·       Should have at least 2 years of relevant industry Work Experience or Level 5 or higher qualification in any field

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively

·       Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

·       High level of personal and professional organisational skills

·       Good understanding of customer service standards and retail sales processes

·       Clean Character background

·       Zero tolerance of drugs at workplace 

Salary can be negotiated as per your experience level between $30 to $35 per hour.
