An opportunity exists for an experienced and reliable Class 5 Truck Driver to join our growing team based in Auckland. You will play a key role in maintaining our high service standards by ensuring the safe, timely, and efficient transportation of freight across Auckland and surrounding regions while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Operate Class 5 vehicles safely and professionally.

  • Complete daily delivery and pickup schedules.

  • Position vehicles for safe and efficient loading and unloading operations.

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.

  • Operating lifting and tipping equipment to load and unload goods and materials.

  • Ensure that estimated weights comply with the load limitations

  • Ensure safe distribution of weight across the vehicle

  • Ensure all freight is secured and transported according to company and regulatory requirements.

  • Monitor vehicle condition through routine checks to maintain safe and reliable performance

  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logbooks.

  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members

  • Ensure safety requirements are met when loading and unloading vehicles

  • Take initiative and independently solving problems while maintaining a strong safety focus.

  • Ensure all workplace practices comply with health and safety requirements and relevant legislation.

To be successful in this role you must have:

  • New Zealand Class 5 driver licence, or ability to convert an overseas equivalent licence.

  • At least one year of relevant work experience or NZQF Level 2 qualification

  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

  • Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
