We’re seeking a vibrant Motel Manager to join our small, welcoming team at our Motel. If you’re passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love connecting with people, this role is for you!

About the Role
As a key member of our front-of-house team, you’ll be the face of our hotel, ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. You’ll handle a variety of tasks across the motel, with opportunities to grow and learn in a supportive environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing reservations, guest check-ins and customer experience
  • Managing our housekeeping team, including training, rostering, and submitting timesheets to the office team.
  • Overseeing financial records and reports - EOD reporting, EFTPOS Summary and banking, generating weekly financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and health & safety policies.
  • Ensure the motel is well presented, and any maintenance works are attended to.
  • Check stock levels and place orders, manage suppliers and contractors.
  • Periodically evaluate and compare room rates, occupancy and costs to see where we can maximise return.
  • Promote and manage the company’s services on various websites.
  • Manage reviews and guest complaints in a timely and professional manner and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure motel operations and management are efficient and profitable.
  • Recruit and onboard new team members as business requires.
  • Greet guests warmly and manage seamless check-in and check-out processes.
  • Handle bookings, guest inquiries, and communications via email, phone, and in-person.
  • Perform general office and administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Take sole charge of front desk and hotel operations during shifts, ensuring smooth operation.

Competitive pay:  $25 per hour.

Working Hours: 30-40 hours per week, Guaranteed!!

About You


We’re looking for someone who brings energy, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude towards our team.

The ideal candidate will have:
Strong Communication Skills: Fluent English for clear and professional
guest interactions.
*2-3 years of relevant work experience OR Level 4 or higher qualification in the relevant field.
*A passion for hospitality is essential.
*Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple
tasks with ease.
*A quick learner who stays calm under pressure and maintains a
friendly demeanour.
*Must be a New Zealand citizen or a resident visa holder, or have open
permission to work in New Zealand
