We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist clients in planning and booking domestic and international travel arrangements while providing exceptional customer service.

Location: Auckland, New Zealand
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent- 30 to 40 hours per week

pay starts from $33 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to understand their travel requirements and preferences.
  • Research, plan, and book flights, accommodation, tours, cruises, transport, and travel insurance.
  • Prepare travel itineraries and provide destination information.
  • Process reservations, amendments, cancellations, and payments.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and booking documentation.
  • Resolve travel-related issues and provide ongoing customer support.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and travel suppliers.
  • Stay informed about travel industry trends, airline policies, visa requirements, and travel regulations.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience as a Travel Consultant, Travel Adviser, or similar role; or a relevant qualification level 4 or any Bachelor degree may substitute for work experience.
  • Strong knowledge of travel booking systems and reservation procedures would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and travel reservation software would be advantageous.
