Our company is currently seeking two experienced Tilers to join our team for ongoing projects in Auckland.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Inspect work sites, measure surfaces, calculate material requirements, and plan tile layouts, taking into account patterns, design specifications, and material wastage.

·      Prepare and level floors, walls, and other surfaces for tiling by removing existing tiles, grout, adhesives, and other materials, and carrying out necessary repairs.

·      Apply waterproofing systems to wet areas, including bathrooms, showers, kitchens, and laundries, in accordance with industry standards.

·      Select, cut, shape, and fit tiles using specialised tools and equipment to meet project specifications and achieve accurate alignment and finish.

·      Apply adhesives and install wall, floor, and decorative tiles, ensuring correct positioning, spacing, levelling, and alignment with corners, edges, fixtures, and fittings.

·      Grout, seal, polish, and finish tiled surfaces to a high standard, ensuring durability, water resistance, and aesthetic quality.

·      Create and install decorative, patterned, and custom tile designs where required.

·      Operate and maintain tiling tools, machinery, and equipment safely and efficiently.

·      Comply with all workplace health and safety requirements, company procedures, and industry regulations.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year experience in tiling or working in construction.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to handle heavy lifting everyday.
  • Strong communication skills and great attention to details.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various tile types, adhesives, and safe handling procedures.
  • Ability to work independently or manage a project autonomously, following instructions as provided.
  • Availability to work Monday to Saturday, or weekend when reaching deadline projects.
  • Strictly commitment to maintaining strict health and safety standards.

Employment Details:

  • Guaranteed 30 to 40 working hours per week.
  • Competitive remuneration: $25 – $35 per hour, depending on experience and expertise.
