This is a hands-on, people-focused role requiring strong process thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to bridge technical and operational teams. You will own process documentation (SOPs/work instructions), support testing and readiness, and help deliver training to ensure changes are adopted and sustained.

Established in the late 1970s, McCallum Industries has evolved from a small family‑run operation into a leading FMCG manufacturer with a strong presence both locally and internationally. From our West Auckland facility, we proudly produce much‑loved household brands, including Palm and Only Organic.

As a family‑owned business, we foster a collaborative and supportive team culture, underpinned by high standards and pride in what we do. Our commitment to quality has seen our products reach more than 25 export markets worldwide.

We are currently looking for a Business Analyst (ERP Utilisation) to join our growing team.

About the role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this role plays a critical part in improving how we use our ERP system by implementing previously unused modules and embedding system-driven ways of working across the business. You will work closely with our Solution Architect and end-users to translate current manual practices into efficient future-state workflows.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with the Solution Architect to map current processes and design system-driven future-state workflows.
  • Lead in-house process design and coordination for ERP utilisation activities across the business.
  • Develop SOPs, work instructions and training materials with department leads.
  • Deliver training and support a train-the-trainer approach to build capability within functional teams.
  • Support testing and readiness (test scenarios/UAT support, defect triage and acceptance criteria).
  • Support the Project Manager to deliver against the project timeline and objectives.
  • Identify process impacts, support change management, and help drive stakeholder buy-in and adoption.
  • Maintain key project documentation including meeting minutes, SOPs and training manuals.
  • Model safe behaviours and support compliance with health, safety and environment requirements; other reasonable tasks as required.

About you

You will bring strong ERP and process improvement experience in a manufacturing environment and enjoy working in a role that balances analysis, practical delivery, and stakeholder engagement across the business.

You will ideally have:

  • Extensive experience working with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment (e.g., BoM, MRP, Inventory, Purchasing and MES).
  • Experience with two or more ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Syspro or equivalent).
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, process mapping and workflow design.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence working with both technical experts and operational teams.
  • Proven ability to document processes into clear SOPs/work instructions and deliver effective training.
  • Practical, hands-on approach with strong organisation, attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or commerce (essential); CA or CPA preferred.
  • Knowledge of HACCP, MPI and export compliance requirements (preferred).

Why join us?

  • Be part of a well-established, family-owned New Zealand business with trusted household brands.
  • Play a key role in a business-wide ERP utilisation project with real operational impact.
  • Work closely with teams across Finance, Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing.
  • Collaborative team culture with high standards and pride in what we do.
