We are seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of residential and commercial carpentry projects while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret building plans, drawings, and specifications.

  • Measure, cut, shape, and assemble timber and other construction materials.

  • Construct, install, and repair building frameworks, walls, floors, roofs, and other structures.

  • Install doors, windows, cabinetry, flooring, and other fixtures.

  • Perform renovation, maintenance, and repair work as required.

  • Ensure all work complies with New Zealand building codes and health and safety regulations.

  • Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment.

  • Work collaboratively with supervisors, contractors, and other tradespeople.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of relevant carpentry experience, or a relevant qualification.

  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.

  • Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings.

  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

  • Commitment to workplace health and safety.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Full driver's licence preferred.
