MAINTENANCE FITTER, Monday - Friday with occasional Saturday

THE ROLE – Maintenance Fitter               
This position is critical for ensuring the sound operation of the manufacturing assets. You will be responsible for trouble-shooting and problem-solving faults quickly to minimise downtime. You will execute planned, preventative & corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with planning & scheduling practice.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE/ BE EXPERIENCED IN:

• Relevant Level 4 Qualification (Maintenance & Diagnostics, Fitter/Turner etc)  or 
• Min. 2 yrs experience maintenance engineering in a manufacturing site
• Working with the Maintenance Planner to plan future work 
• Maintaining & repairing pumps, conveyors, bearings & shafts
• Machining & welding components as required
• Installing, aligning & assembling mechanical equipment & drive assemblies
• Troubleshooting & replacing worn or damaged components
• Applying precision maintenance tactics to maintain fixed plant assets & equipment through planned Preventative & Corrective maintenance
• Working with site Reliability, Production & National Support teams to eliminate defects, drive availability improvements & extend asset lifecycles
• Current NZ Work Visa/ Residency/ Citizenship
