About Us
Myradhe Limited operates a busy grocery, convenience and retail store serving the local Paparoa community and surrounding areas. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day accounting functions, and support management through timely financial reporting and analysis.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the financial health, operational efficiency and regulatory compliance of the business.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping systems using Xero and other accounting software.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, financial transactions and business records.
• Monitor daily cash flow, account balances and banking activities.
• Prepare and process supplier invoices, purchase orders and payment transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Match supplier invoices against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Reconcile financial transactions against monthly bank statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Verify recorded transactions, identify discrepancies and report irregularities to management.
• Prepare monthly profit and loss reports, balance sheets and cash flow summaries.
• Generate weekly and monthly sales, expense and inventory reports for management review.
• Maintain inventory-related financial records and assist with stock reconciliation processes.
• Monitor debtor and creditor balances and assist with collection activities when required.
• Complete and submit GST-related information and assist with PAYE and other statutory reporting obligations.
• Maintain payroll records, staff timesheets, leave records and payroll summaries for processing.
• Assist with annual budgeting, expenditure forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Support end-of-year financial reporting, audits and compliance requirements.
• Liaise with external accountants, suppliers and service providers as required.
• Ensure all financial information is handled confidentially and in accordance with company policies.
Person Specification
• Diploma Level 4 qualification in Accounting, Finance, Bookkeeping or related field, OR at least 2 years relevant bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial record management.
• Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience within grocery, retail, convenience store or supermarket operations will be highly regarded.
