Business Analyst (Infrastructure)

As they continue to invest in and modernise the network, we’re looking for a skilled Business Analyst to help shape smarter, evidence-based decision making across the organisation.

The Opportunity: As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making. You’ll work closely with a diverse range of stakeholders, from engineers and asset managers to regional leaders and external partners, to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business needs, challenges, and opportunities
• Analyse data, processes, and systems to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities
• Translate business requirements into clear documentation, including business cases, process maps, and functional specifications
• Support investment planning by providing robust analysis and evidence-based recommendations
• Facilitate workshops and discussions to align stakeholders and support informed decision making
• Work alongside technical teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and deliver value
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across operational and strategic programmes

About You: You’re a proactive and analytical thinker who enjoys working at the intersection of data, people, and strategy. You’re confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels and can communicate complex ideas clearly.

You will bring:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role
• Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate data into meaningful insights and recommendations
• Experience developing business cases and requirements documentation
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Desirable:

• Experience in infrastructure, utilities, or public sector environments
• Familiarity with asset management, capital planning, or regulatory frameworks
• Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL)
