Bookkeeper – Full Time Go Best Camp Ltd, Auckland
Go Best Camp Ltd is a dynamic and fast-growing company operating across two expanding business lines: an established travel services business and a health food retail store, specialising in discounted and clearance health supplements. As our operations grow across both divisions, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Bookkeeper to manage the financial records and accounting functions across our business.
This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-business environment and takes pride in keeping accurate, well-organised financial records that support sound business decisions.
- Minimum Guaranteed Hours: At least 30 hours weekly, up to 48 hours
- Location: Auckland
- Remuneration: Negotiable for the right candidate, between $28.00–$32.00 per hour depending on experience and qualifications
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Maintaining and balancing financial records across both the travel and health food retail divisions, using manual and computerised accounting systems
- Monitoring cash flow and lines of credit to support the operational needs of both business units
- Preparing and producing financial statements, budgets, and expenditure reports and analyses using accounting software packages such as Xero or MYOB
- Processing invoices, purchase orders, and bank deposits for travel bookings, supplier payments, and retail stock purchases
- Reconciling accounts against monthly bank statements across all business accounts
- Verifying recorded transactions and reporting any irregularities or discrepancies to management
- Preparing GST and other business tax returns, reporting entitlements and obligations including the amount of goods and services tax paid and collected
- Supporting financial planning and reporting as the health food retail store moves from pre-launch into full trading operations
Applicants for this role should have:
- Relevant work experience in bookkeeping or accounting (at least 2 years), or a relevant diploma qualification in accounting or finance, or Bachelor degree in any field.
- Proficiency in computerised accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
- Ability to manage financial tasks across multiple business units simultaneously
- A professional, organised approach with excellent time-management skills
- Strong communication skills to liaise with management, suppliers, and external accountants
