We have full time opportunities for Truck Drivers. The start and finish point will be in Napier, Hawkes’s Bay region and working throughout New Zealand. You will be required to work between Monday-Friday and on weekend for minimum 30 hours. You may require working on public holidays. We are seeking an individual who is dedicated to our organisation, willing to assume responsibility, and able to independently manage and deliver on their duties.

Job Responsibilities

 

·       Ability to operate company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner.

·       Deliver products to customers according to assigned delivery schedules and run sheets.

·       Complete delivery documentation, logbooks, and other transport records accurately.

·       Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle at the end of the shift and

report any problems or damage to management.

·       Manoeuvre trucks into loading or unloading positions.

·       Collect and verify delivery instructions.

·       Follow designated routes and delivery timeframes while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

·       Taking full responsibility of unit while on duty.

·       Delivering and collecting freight from customers’ sites and other depots

·       Ensuring all legal requirements for the transport of goods are met

·       Managing customer relations

·       Ensuring all health and safety requirements are followed.

·       A focus on quality and customer service.

·       Observe and report equipment or mechanical failures immediately.

Key requirements

ü  Valid and clean Driver License Class 5

ü  Manual gear box knowledge.

ü  Must be physical fit

ü  Knowledge of emergency procedures and how to handle hazard conditions.

ü  A sound understanding of Health and Safety along with the logbook requirements.

ü  A positive attitude and a great work ethic

ü  Good communication skills (written and verbal)

ü  Clean Character Background

ü  Be of a standard of fitness sufficient to carry out all duties.

 

Salary can be negotiated as per your proven experience level; it will range from $30 per hour to $35 per hour.
