We have an opportunity for a junior quantity surveyor for a short term role
We are seeking a Junior Quantity Surveyor to join an electrical services business delivering commercial, industrial, infrastructure and large scale residential projects across New Zealand.

Based in Hobsonville, this is a fixed term role for 6-8 weeks starting ASAP, providing you the opportunity to work on new projects and experience a new industry.

The Role

This role will focus on working through variations, insuring all information and pricing is being tracked accurately. You will need to ensure that all information is correct and provided to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Variation identification and tracking
  • Assist with the preparation and submission of variation claims arising from design changes, site instructions, and client requests
  • Maintaining variation registers and tracked approval status.
  
What We’re Looking For

This role suits a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Quantity Surveyor with experience supporting the preparation, measurement, pricing, and administration of construction variations across building projects.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Experience working with variation documentation
  • Confident communicator
  • Able to work autonomously
  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
