Supercut Engineering Limited based in Auckland, specialising in fabrication and erection for various commercial and residential projects. We are looking for one carpenter to join our growing team.

You will be expected to work at the company’s premise in Onehunga and may also be directed to work at other sites within the Auckland region. This job requires you to work a minimum of 35 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to work on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $28.00 - $35.00 based on the candidates' experience and skills.

Job Description for This Position

  • Interpret and review blueprints, sketches, and construction plans to determine project specifications, dimensions, and material requirements.

  • Measure, cut, shape, and prepare timber and other building materials using hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery.

  • Construct and install structural frameworks, including wall framing, floor systems, roof structures, and door frames.

  • Manufacture, assemble, and install doors, window frames, staircases, cabinetry, and other custom-built fixtures and fittings as required.

  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with building plans, industry standards, and health and safety requirements, while maintaining a safe and tidy work environment.

Key Requirements for Successful Applicants

  • At least two years of work experience as carpenter or construction worker or similar is required

  • Relevant qualification or certificate is a bonus.

  • Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role

  • Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting.

  • A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. 

  • Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
