We are seeking a  Truck Driver to join our team in Christchurch. If you pride yourself on punctuality, smooth logistics coordination, and keeping a vehicle in top shape, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent, secure position offering a minimum 40-hour weekly and a competitive pay rate of $25 to $33 per hour (depending on experience) within a supportive team environment.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

Your day-to-day will focus on safe driving, efficient coordination, and solid record-keeping. You will be responsible for:

  • Drive and manoeuvre trucks into position for safe loading and unloading of goods
  • Operate a truck to transport goods to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other drivers to coordinate delivery schedules and logistics
  • Maintain accurate records of transported goods, including delivery times, locations, and any relevant details
  • Conduct routine vehicle checks and basic maintenance, such as monitoring oil levels, tyre pressure, and general vehicle condition
  • Ensure compliance with road safety regulations and company transport procedures

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Preferred 1 year of relevant experience or qualifications.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Fit and able to handle heavy lifting of up to 20 kg.
  • Flexible to work weekends.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and an absolute commitment to safety.
