Colour Design Master Painters Limited needs experienced Painters and Decorators to paint new and existing dwellings and commercial buildings.

 Hours of Work – 40 per week (38 hours per week guaranteed)

 

Job Description of Painter and Decorator

         ·        Erect scaffolding and ladders, place drop sheets to protect adjacent areas from paint and wallpaper glue splattering

·        Prepare surfaces by removing old paint and wallpaper, fix woodwork, fill holes and cracks, remove dust and debris, smooth and seal surfaces

·        Apply masking material over surfaces which are not to be painted

·        Select and prepare paints to required colours by mixing portions of pigment, oil, thinning and drying additives

·        Apply paints, varnishes and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers and sprays

·        Work in a team selected by the Employer

·        Clean equipment and work areas

·        When necessary, supervise less experienced employees

Rate of Pay - $30 to $35 per hour, for normal hours plus overtime hours

 Required: minimum 2 years’ experience as a Painter.  Must be able to work unsupervised.
