Bricklayer

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Bricklayer to join team for an construction projects in Southland & Otago. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and restoring brick, block, and stone structures in accordance with plans and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Laying bricks, pre-cut stone, concrete blocks, and other masonry materials.
• Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Measuring and marking reference lines for accurate placement.
• Mixing and applying mortar and other bonding materials.
• Constructing and repairing walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, and other structures.
• Checking vertical and horizontal alignment using levels and plumb lines.
• Cutting and shaping bricks and blocks to fit specific requirements.
• Ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard of quality.

Skills and Experience

• Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience OR level 4 qualification.
• Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
• Good physical fitness and ability to work outdoors.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test

What We Offer

• $28 - $35 an hour depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, minimum 30 hours per week
• May be occasional weekend work
• Work across multiple projects in Southland and Otago
