The Role:
They are currently seeking a highly motivated and hard-working person to join their Legal Collections team, based in their Avondale head office.

In this role you will be undertaking a range of legal administration, processing work. You will be preparing various legal documents, filing documents, preparing claim documents, scanning documents, liaising with the court processing department, client communication and following up on a lot of processes in between.

While prior legal administration experience would be an advantage, it is not essential. What matters most is your strong administration skills, ability to follow structured processes, and eagerness to learn. Full training will be provided.

However, it is not all admin, there will be inbound and outbound phone work required, so confidence on the phones is a must!

About You: 
For this role, you do not need any legal experience.  There is a strict administration process in place, which will be taught, so if you are keen to learn and you love administration, have good computer skills, phone skills, enjoy working at pace and pride yourself on a good work ethic, then this could be a great role for you.

 However, if you do have some previous experience in a Collections environment and understand the legal processes involved, that will be great.

The Role in more detail:

  • Assessing referred files for viability for legal action (reviewing contracts and assorted documents to assess suitability per business policy)

  • Prepare and file legal documents, claim documents, affidavits, and other relevant legal correspondence.

  • Prepare documents needed for court and record all communications

  • Preparing and executing digital service of documents

  • Serve documents digitally and manage document flow efficiently.

  • Ensure all work complies with legal and regulatory standards.

  • Keep accurate case records, customer communications, and supporting documentation.

  • Negotiate payment arrangements when required.

  • Review and load agent’s invoices for payment

  • Inbound/outbound communication with customers to negotiate payment arrangements or settlements

  • Preparation of Court documents for Attachment Orders

  • Follow up unpaid Court Orders or broken arrangements

ABOUT YOU! Must haves!

  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Fast, accurate administration / processing skills.

  • Detail focused. Process oriented.

  • Able to pick up new systems with ease.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

  • Thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • Adaptable to changing legislative or procedural processes.

  • Highly self-motivated, reliable, and eager to achieve targets

  
Ideal to have! But honestly not essential as full training will be provided

  • Previous experience in debt collection and/or legal administration

  • Remuneration package base + quarterly bonuses + commission + car parking

  • Ideal start time would be 8:30am, but 9am, 9:30am, might be okay as well.

  • Starting rate $65K with bonuses to bring your remuneration to over $70K.

  • Piles of overtime available if desired. (This can add another $10K to your income if you want to earn more).
