Forestry Silviculture Worker

Nalawe Forestry Limited is seeking motivated Forestry Silviculture Workers to join their team based across the Whanganui -  Manawatu region. 

The role is permanent and full-time (we guarantee a minimum of 30 hours per week). Applicants must be available Mon -Fri and the occasional Saturday. The normal working hours are 7:30am - 3:30 pm.

Pay ranges from $28 - 35 per hour depending on skills and experience.

Applicants should have a minimum of 1-year relevant work experience.

The Forestry Silviculture Workers' job duties include: 

• Planning and implementing silviculture operations.
• Planting, release spraying, pruning and thinning.
• Use a range of equipment including chainsaws, loppers, planting spade and frames, slashers, scrub bars, knapsack sprayers, poison applicators, motorised machinery and fire prevention techniques.
• Mix and apply agrichemicals within guidelines and practices.
• Operate LUVs and quad bikes for remote areas.
