We are looking for one Service Technician to join our team in Christchurch. It is a

permanent role and you are guaranteed a minimum of 30 hours per week with

competitive rates between $30 to $35 p/h depending on your skills. You will be working

as per the roster hence flexibility is essential in this role.

Key responsibilities:

. Perform routine inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of bowling pinsetter machines and lane equipment. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or scoring system faults. Conduct regular lane conditioning, oiling, and surface upkeep to ensure all pinsetters, ball returns, and related systems operate safely and efficiently.

 . Diagnose, service, and repair arcade, redemption, and simulator machines. Maintain and update electronic game systems, wiring, and connections. Calibrate and test equipment for accuracy, and replace worn parts, circuit boards, and components as required.

. Perform maintenance, calibration, and software updates for golf simulators. Troubleshoot technical issues involving sensors, projectors, and interactive displays, and coordinate with vendors or suppliers for specialized parts or technical assistance.

. Carry out general building and venue maintenance, including basic carpentry, painting, lighting, and plumbing repairs. Conduct minor electrical repairs and fixture replacements. Clean, adjust, and replace mechanical parts and fittings to maintain a safe, tidy, and organized work environment.

. Develop and follow preventative maintenance schedules for all entertainment and facility equipment. Record all maintenance activities, inspections, and parts used. Report potential hazards or safety concerns promptly to management and ensure strict compliance with all workplace health and safety standards.

. Respond quickly to equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime and guest disruption. Collaborate with management and staff to prioritize tasks, assist with the installation of new systems, and provide basic equipment safety training to staff.

. Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and maintenance supplies. Order replacement parts as necessary and keep accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and service report

You will need:

· 2 years’ experience in technical maintenance within bowling, arcade, or entertainment venues, or a relevant technical qualification.

. Experience maintaining Brunswick GS Series systems is preferred.

· Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

· Experience with automated machinery, gaming systems, or audiovisual equipment.

· Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and safety compliance.

· Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.

· Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Good communication skills for liaising with staff, management, and suppliers.

· Physically fit, with the ability to lift, move, and repair heavy equipment safely.

· Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
