Assistant Manager Required Immediately for our business Shree Ganeshay Namah Limited

We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in running a busy business in the Far North/Northland area.

The business operates 7 days per week from 4:00am to 4:00pm. Due to the operating hours, the Store Manager is not able to cover all hours required to run the business. The Assistant Manager will assist the Store Manager with the day-to-day operation of the business and will be required to help manage the store when the Store Manager is on days off or otherwise unavailable.

The Assistant Manager must report operational matters back to the Store Manager and follow the business policies, procedures, and systems already in place.

This is a full-time position offering at least 30 hours per week. Applicants must be available to work early morning shifts, weekends, public holidays, and rostered days as required.

Key duties include:

·       Assisting the Store Manager with the daily operation of the business.

·       Helping ensure the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and successfully.

·       Following and contributing to the systems and procedures in place for the successful running of the business.

·       Supervising staff during shifts and helping ensure staff complete their duties correctly.

·       Providing guidance, help, and support to team members during busy periods.

·       Taking responsibility for the day-to-day running of the store when the Store Manager is on days off or unavailable, including supervising staff, supporting customer service, monitoring stock, and reporting operational matters back to the Store Manager.

·       Reporting important operational matters, incidents, staffing issues, customer issues, and other relevant matters back to the Store Manager.

·       Helping maintain high standards of customer service.

·       Assisting with stock control, ordering, stock rotation, and checking deliveries.

·       Ensuring food safety, hygiene, cleaning, and workplace health and safety standards are followed.

·       Assisting with staff training and ensuring staff follow business procedures.

·       Helping with cash handling, opening and closing procedures, and daily store checks.

·       Supporting the Store Manager with rosters, workflow, and day-to-day problem solving.

·       Ensuring the store is clean, organised, and ready for business each day.

·       Dealing with customer queries or complaints in a professional manner.

·       Liaising with suppliers, staff, and management as required.

Applicants must have:

·       Previous business experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

·       A strong work ethic and willingness to work hard, especially during busy periods.

·       The ability to lead by example, as staff will look to management for help, guidance, and support.

·       The ability to follow instructions and report relevant matters back to the Store Manager.

·       Good customer service skills.

·       Good personal presentation, hygiene, and grooming.

·       The ability to work under pressure in a busy environment.

·       The ability to work early morning shifts, weekends, public holidays, and rostered days.

·       Reliable attendance and a responsible attitude.

·       The ability to reliably work at the business location in the Far North/Northland area.
