We are looking for experienced Fabricators/Welders to join our team in based in Wellington, and may travel to work in Canterbury for the projects if required. The role is responsible for fabricating quality metal structures from start to finish to ensure our products meet the needs, purpose and standards of Baxter Engineering for our customers.

Job Description:

Your key responsibilities include: 

  • Interpreting blueprints and technical drawings specific to our product requirements.
  • Cutting and shaping metal components to build the structure as per our customers' job orders.
  • Fabricating and installing other components if required.
  • Welding and assembling the components to a high standard.
  • Ensuring quality and integrity of the products within time required.
  • Following the safety protocols throughout the whole process.

To qualify for this role, you need to have:

  • At least 3-year relevant work experience.
  • Trade certificate or industry experience preferred.
  • Ability to work as a team with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative.
  • Show flexibility and adaptability.

For the right candidate, we offer an hourly rate from $35 - $45 per hour depending on experience/skills, with guaranteed 40 hours per week.
