Starpoint Service Station Ltd is an independently owned and thriving business operating under the trusted Caltex brand on the North Shore. We are currently seeking a highly analytical and business-minded Service Station Manager to take the helm of our daily operations.

The Role

This is not a standard retail supervisory role. We require a strategic manager capable of overseeing the complex financial, operational, and human resource elements of our business. The successful candidate will be responsible for maximizing profitability, analyzing P&L statements, ensuring strict OHS compliance, and optimizing our inventory and supply chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Financial Management: Analyze financial statements, manage budgeting, control operational costs, and drive revenue growth.

▪ Operational Excellence: Formulate and implement purchasing strategies, pricing policies, and service standards.

▪ Inventory Control: Determine optimal product mix and maintain stock levels across forecourt and retail store operations.

▪ Team Leadership: Control the selection, training, rostering, and performance management of all station staff.

▪ Compliance: Ensure absolute adherence to all occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to the petroleum retail industry.

Requirements

To successfully navigate the financial and strategic demands of this role, the ideal candidate must possess:

▪ Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Management, or a closely related field. Candidates holding higher degree will be highly regarded due to the complex optimization needs for the business.

▪ A academic background in accounting, financial control, or proven ability to perform advanced financial analysis, interpret complex P&L statements, and manage corporate budgeting would be an advantage

▪ Strong understanding of retail economics, inventory cost control, and strategic business planning. Relevant work experience is preferred but not a must.

▪ Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret commercial data to make informed operational decisions.

▪ Excellent leadership, and organizational abilities.

▪ Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members. Mandarin competency is an advantage.

▪ A competitive remuneration package of $35.00 to $37.00 per hour (commensurate with qualifications).

▪ Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week.
