Building Recruitment is seeking skilled and reliable Carpenters for a variety of projects across Hawkes BayIf you’re confident on the tools, committed to safe work practices, and ready for consistent work, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
You’ll be working across residential and commercial sites, completing a wide range of carpentry tasks including framing, formwork, cladding, concrete, and general building work. We’re looking for carpenters who can work unsupervised, read plans accurately, and deliver high‑quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Framing and trusses
  • Setting out Sites
  • Exterior cladding
  • Interior finishing including installing windows, stairs, and doors
  • Reading and interpreting plans, drawings, and sketches
  • Taking accurate measurements and calculating material requirements
  • Cutting, shaping, and smoothing timber and other materials
  • Installing flooring, roofing, drywall, siding, cabinets, insulation, and other components
  • Conducting repairs, maintenance, and product inspections
  • Formwork, concrete laying, and steel tying
  • Installing bracing systems
  • Working autonomously or as part of a team
  • Adhering to all Health & Safety requirements
  • Monday–Friday work, with Saturday mornings often available
To Be Considered, You Must Have
  • Minimum 3 years of carpentry experience or a trade certificate
  • Physically fit with good stamina
  • Own transport and tools
  • Proficiency in reading building plans
  • Current Site Safe licence (essential)
  • MEWP or Working at Heights licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to follow instructions
  • Understanding of NZS3604:2011
