Position Details:

Location: Auckland

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent, Rotating Roster

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: NZD $30 – $35.00 per hour (depending on experience)

 Key Responsibilities

  • Measure, cut and install plasterboard (GIB) panels to walls and ceilings 

  • Fix plasterboard to timber/metal framing using appropriate fasteners 

  • Install ceiling systems, partitions, and suspended ceilings 

  • Apply jointing compounds, tape and finishing systems 

  • Sand and finish surfaces to a paint-ready standard 

  • Install cornices, trims, and decorative mouldings 

  • Ensure compliance with building plans and NZ building codes 

  • Maintain tools and ensure a safe working environment 

 Requirements

  • At least 2–3 years relevant experience OR NZQF Level 4 qualification (or equivalent) 

  • Strong knowledge of plasterboard fixing and finishing techniques 

  • Ability to read plans and work independently 

  • Physically fit and able to work on construction sites 

  • Good attention to detail and finishing quality
