Ongoing assignment, competitive pay rate

Our client is looking for motivated production worker in the BOP area, with weekly guaranteed hours of at least 40 and a gross pay rate between $30 and $35 per hour.
In this role you will be part of a successful team, work in the production workshop environment. You will be working on a busy production assembling line, this role will keep you on your toes.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Operate machinery and equipment as part of the manufacturing process.
  • Operate and maintain production equipment.
  • Support preventative maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
  • Assist with inventory and stock control.
  • Work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Follow safety procedures, especially around chemicals and dangerous goods.
  • Ensure all products are manufactured within set quality standards and requirements in the shortest cost effective and efficient time.
  • To check completed batch documents are 100% accurate before product is released to the Finished Goods warehouse.
  • To perform all duties taking full responsible care and attention to comply with the Principles of Good Manufacturing PracticeT.
  • Assist with the preventative maintenance of the equipment used for manufacturing.
  • To identify and report to the Production Supervisor on any resource shortages.
  • To advise the Production Supervisor as to the status and build-up of empty blue 200Lt drums.
  • Complete all administration requirements accurately and on time.
  • Pick and pack sales orders in full and on time (DIFOT).
  • Ensure all products removed from the despatch warehouse (finished goods) are recorded accurately on appropriate documentation for New Zealand and Export orders.
  • Loading and Unloading of all trucks and containers on site.
  • Prepare and print address labels and dangerous goods certificates as required.
  • Liaise with National carrier for daily outgoing collections when required.
  • Liaise with carriers for Incoming containers / incoming products when required.
  • When required - Backup for Coastal container ordering/DG's/ relevant paperwork.
  • Transferring of finished goods from Factory to Despatch warehouse.
  • To maintain regulatory certificates that are necessary to fully discharge the duties required (Incl TFO).
  • Stock Take / Cycle Counts.
  • Accurate Inwards goods receipting.
  • Materials are safely stored in appropriate areas.
  • Maintain excellent communication between all external service providers, suppliers and inter-company departments.
  • To follow the principles of ' Lean' as they are established at FIL.
  • Seek short term assistance from Supervisor as required.
  • Any other such duties as may be required from time to time.

 

The ideal candidate will need:

  • At least 4 months experiences. 
  • Electric pallet Truck and Forklift driver experience.
  • Experience in logistic and supply chain.
  • Must be reliable and willing to learn new things.
  • Must be hard working and motivated.
  • Self-motivated and a pro-active attitude.
  • Able to pass a drug test.
