Our client is looking for experienced Irrigation Technicians to join our horticultural team in Oamaru. This full-time role involves designing, installing, maintaining and servicing efficient irrigation systems across field-based vegetable production. You will help ensure crops receive the right water application at the right time, supporting quality, productivity and sustainable water use. This is a full time role with a guarantee of 40 hours per week at $33-$35 per hour.

Rangeview Produce is seeking skilled Irrigation Technicians to support our horticultural growing operations in Oamaru. This is a full-time, trade-level role responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, monitoring and servicing efficient irrigation systems used across vegetable production.

The successful applicant will hav two years of relevant experience in irrigation or in the industry. You will work across crops including broccoli, broccolini, lettuce, kale, celery, celeriac and fennel. The role is focused on ensuring irrigation systems operate safely, reliably and efficiently, while supporting crop quality, productivity, environmental standards and good horticultural practice.

Key duties will include designing and planning irrigation layouts, installing irrigation infrastructure, maintaining and repairing systems, monitoring crop water requirements, adjusting irrigation schedules, inspecting equipment, identifying leaks or faults, testing and calibrating systems, and troubleshooting pumps, controllers, filters and fertigation equipment.

The Irrigation Technician will also carry out preventative maintenance, record irrigation activity and water use, support compliance with water-use and health and safety requirements, and work closely with the Farm Manager and growing team to align irrigation planning with planting, crop growth, harvesting and weather conditions.
