Job Title: Experienced Forklift Truck Operator

Hours of work:  Full-time permanent position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week.

Pay: $31.50 per hour

Location: Methven, Mid Canterbury

Experience: 3 Years experience of operating a reach forklift truck

Qualifications: Current New Zealand Forklift Licence, current full clean driving licence.

Highbank Seeds Ltd seeks applicants for a full-time forklift position in our seed cleaning facility.

Duties include the operation of a forklift truck to load the seed cleaning plant, unloading bulk materials, and boxed materials from deliveries and receivable to the site.  Pre-start check of the forklift, organising service and maintenance as required.  Warehouse logistics and stock flow process knowledge and understanding of safe stacking heights and health and safety. The knowledge and understanding of the distribution of seeds from the seed cleaning plant from initial arrival of unloading to final cleaned product, loaded back into despatch.  Experience of setting up and running seed cleaning machines preferred but not essential. Confident to undertake height work and hold a current harness safety NZQA unit standard 23229. 

 The successful applicant must hold a current forklift operator certification.  Shift work would be required throughout; this position is predominantly night shift and includes weekend work.

Must be physically fit and able with previous experience working within a seed cleaning plant.
