About you:

Successful candidates must be a NZ citizen or resident.

The role requires various labouring duties, including but not limited to, assisting in form work, framing, concreting, gardening, drilling, pipe/duct fitting, earth work, electrical, tiling, welding, drainage, civil, painting, and interior and exterior finishing. The position mandates the services of skilled tradespeople will be physically fit and able to carry out manual labour.

- Performs routine tasks in erecting and repairing structures and facilities on building and construction sites

- Produces prefabricated building components

- Cleans and prepares sites

- May assist various trades technician in duties related to form work, framing, concreting, gardening, drilling, pipe/duct fitting, earth work, electrical, tiling, welding, drainage, civil, painting, and interior and exterior finishing.

- Ensure all activities are conducted safely and in compliance with Franklin Smith policies and relevant legislation.

- Other duties as reasonably required within the capability of the employee’s role may also be required from time to time.

The ideal candidate will also have:

1.   Two contactable references.
2.  Been able to pass police check and drug test.
3.  A valid driver license.

About the role:

-          Minimum 30 hours per week.

-          Hourly wage ranging from $25.00 - $30.00.

-          Permanent role – Monday to Friday, with extra shifts available on weekends.

-          As part of your employment, you may be required to travel to a different region for a different project, including, Auckland, Manawatū-Whanganui, Marlborough, Waikato, Wellington, Otago, Nelson, Hawke’s Bay, Taranaki, Northland, West Coast, Bay of Plenty, Canterbury, Gisborne, Southland.

-        You will be given reasonable notice if you are required to relocate to another region. Franklin Smith will cover transportation and accommodation expenses related to the relocation.
