The Beauty Therapist is expected to maintain high standards of treatment delivery, client care, professionalism, hygiene, and customer satisfaction while contributing to the continued growth and success ofthe business.
Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed
Applicants must have the following as per employer’s requirement:
- Relevant Beauty Therapy qualification (NZ Level 4 or equivalent overseas qualification).
- At least 1 year of practical industry experience in a professional beauty therapy environment.
- Strong knowledge of skin analysis, treatment planning, and beauty therapy techniques.
- Experience operating professional beauty therapy equipment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Client Consultation and Treatment Planning
- Conduct comprehensive client consultations and skin assessments.
- Evaluate client needs, concerns, and treatment suitability.Develop and implement personalised treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate client records, treatment notes, and progress documentation.
2. Beauty and Skin Therapy Services
- Perform professional facial treatments and skin therapies.
- Deliver advanced skin treatments using specialised beauty equipment.
- Provide facial massage and relaxation treatments.
- Perform waxing, tinting, lash and brow treatments.
- Carry out manicure, pedicure and foot spa services where required.
- Provide professional relaxation and deep tissue massages.
- Provide aftercare recommendations and treatment maintenance advice.
3. Product Knowledge and Client Education
- Educate clients regarding skin health, treatment options, and home care routines.
- Recommend appropriate skincare and beauty products based on individual needs.
- Assist clients in achieving long-term skin and wellness goals.
4. Health and Safety Compliance
- Maintain strict hygiene and infection control procedures.
- Ensure treatment rooms, equipment, and tools are sanitised and maintained.
- Follow workplace health and safety policies and industry best practices.
- Monitor equipment performance and report maintenance requirements.
5. Customer Service and Business Support
- Deliver exceptional customer service and professional client care.
- Build strong client relationships and encourage repeat business.
- Assist with salon promotions, client retention initiatives, and service improvements.
- Contribute positively to a professional and collaborative team environment.
