Financial administrator

You are required to 1) work at least 30 hours of work per week, and 2) hold a NZQF Level 7 or above qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a closely related field, or have at least two years of relevant managerial experience in financial management

We offer hourly wage rate from $36 to $68, depending on your skill and/or work experience

Your main job tasks include

• Develop, implement and review the company’s financial management strategies, budgets and accounting policies in consultation with senior management.
• Prepare annual budgets, financial forecasts, cash flow projections and management reports to support the company’s scrap metal purchasing, processing and export operations.
• Analyse financial performance, inventory costs, operating expenses and profitability, and provide recommendations to improve business performance and support management decision-making.
• Oversee the company’s accounting systems and internal financial controls to ensure accurate financial reporting and efficient business operations.
• Direct the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements, management reports and statutory financial reports.
• Monitor working capital, cash flow and funding requirements, and assess capital expenditure proposals relating to plant, machinery and operational improvements.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, banks and other professional advisers regarding financial reporting, taxation, financing and regulatory matters.
• Ensure compliance with New Zealand financial reporting standards, taxation legislation, GST requirements and other relevant statutory obligations.
• Provide financial advice to management on business planning, investment decisions, funding strategies and long-term financial sustainability.Applicants should have New Zealand citizenship, residency, or a valid work visa. if you
