We are looking for some more experienced Winter Pruners to join our pruning crew in Gisborne. Must have previous pruning experience. Minimal training may be provided, but all our inexperienced positions have already been filled, sorry. 

About You
We are looking for individuals who are dependable, motivated, and take pride in their work. A strong work ethic and the ability to collaborate with others are essential. Own tools required.

 

 

Primary Objective: to ensure that all crops are pruned and thinned to comply with orchard
grade standards and that good safe work practices are maintained at all times.

Key Tasks:

  • Prune kiwifruit crops as instructed
  • Maintain pruning/thinning quality standards

Key Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all instructions as provided by the Supervisors
  • Ensure quality standards are maintained throughout all orchard processes
  • Comply with all Health & Safety instructions and procedures – including wearing necessary safety gear when instructed
  • Comply with any specific orchard hygiene instructions
  • Any damage is reported immediately
  • Undertake associated orchard tasks as and when required.
