Hawkes Bay Engineering & Construction seeks the services of 2 Fitter/Welders that will primarily be working on site. The role
will involve Fabrication and general engineering. Work hours will be from 7am – 5pm Mon-Fri. and some Saturday’s and
Sundays will be required. Rain, wind, Sun and snow we work.

Skills to be considered for this role will include:
Be self-motivated.
Have good communication skills.
Be physically fit and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test drug.
Must hold Valid driver’s licence.
Be reliable & punctual.
Quick Problem-solving skills 
Very good Welding and Fabrication experience
Team player, with a good attitude 
Experience in different areas in Engineering advantageous
Proficient in cutting, grinding, and welding. 
At least three years relevant experience or a relevant qualification will be a must.
Prior experience in construction advantageous
Day to Day Responsibilities
Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues.
Conduct research and studies on site.
Manage field activities and implement engineering designs.
Diagnose construction or machinery problems.
Resolve malfunctions or other crises when they arise.
Oversee repairs and technical improvements.
Install new systems and technology.
Inspect and test material and machinery for safety.
Ensure proper maintenance of onsite equipment.
Supervise and direct onsite crew (e.g., technicians)
Draft and submit reports.
More about the role: 
min guaranteed 30 hours per week and could be as high as 47.5 including ability to work on Weekends and late hours as and when required. 
Payrate - $30 to $40 per hour
