We are seeking a qualified and commercially focused Laundromat Service Manager to take full responsibility for the overall management and performance of the laundromat.

This is a senior management position with full autonomy. The successful applicant will independently plan, direct and control all aspects of the business, exercise day-to-day decision-making authority, and be accountable for operational performance, customer satisfaction, staff management and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
    • Independently direct and manage all daily operations of the laundromat to achieve business objectives, service excellence and commercial performance. 
    • Develop, implement and continuously improve operational policies, procedures and service standards. 
    • Exercise full decision-making authority over daily operational matters to ensure efficient, uninterrupted business operations. 
    • Recruit, lead, manage, train, allocate duties to and evaluate staff performance, while addressing disciplinary and performance issues where necessary. 
    • Determine staffing requirements, prepare work schedules and manage labour resources to maximise operational efficiency. 
    • Establish workflow priorities and allocate resources to ensure timely completion of customer and commercial laundry services. 
    • Analyse business performance, identify operational improvements and implement strategies to enhance productivity, profitability and customer satisfaction. 
    • Determine pricing strategies, promotional initiatives and service offerings in response to market conditions and business objectives. 
    • Develop and maintain relationships with commercial customers, negotiate service arrangements and resolve complex customer matters. 
    • Authorise the procurement of equipment, consumables and operational resources, and negotiate with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing. 
    • Monitor operating costs, prepare budgets, control expenditure and implement measures to improve financial performance. 
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation, environmental requirements and all applicable business regulations. 
    • Oversee preventative maintenance programmes and authorise equipment servicing or replacement to minimise operational disruption. 
    • Review business performance reports and implement strategic initiatives to support sustainable business growth. 
Requirements
    • Diploma Level 5 or higher qualification in Business, Management or Communications or a related discipline. 
    • Strong leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills. 
    • Excellent communication, customer relationship and staff management abilities. 
    • Sound financial, budgeting and operational management skills. 
    • Ability to work with a high degree of independence, accountability and professional judgement.
