Gardener

About the Role

Our have an exciting opportunity to join our supportive team as a Gardener. 

In this role you will:

• Work in a team focused on maintaining our beautiful gardens by setting for our client 
• Service the grounds and gardens to ensure a great appearance and ensure safety of all the grounds area
• Enjoy lots of variety with a bowling green, water features, residential , commercial and shared areas
• Work closely with, and support your colleagues

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and grow the garden to ensure it meets specific requirements and expectations.
• Perform basic maintenance such as cutting the grass, emptying bins, managing weed control and leaf raking.
• Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
• Work with hand tools and basic light machinery such as plant vehicles, and small diggers.
• Service all garden equipment and machinery.
• Maintain a clean garden by clearing rubbish and litter from the garden and grounds.
• Provide guidance to management on matters related to the garden.
• Advise management on the costs of plants and garden necessities with detailed written quotations and reports.
• Ensure a safe environment for staff and clients by adhering to safety and health regulations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 years of proven experience in a similar role.
• Ability to handle a range of horticultural machinery and powered hand tools.
• In-depth knowledge of plants and gardening techniques.
• Friendly personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Solid understanding of health and safety rules and legislation.

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. Excellent problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently or as part of a small team effectively. Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and reliability.

A permanent position of with a minimum of  $25 to $30 per hours depending on work experience and qualification.
A minimum of 30 hour per weeks and may require to work on weekend sometimes
Must have evidence of legal work right in NZ
