Akal Force Limited is a commercial fruit growing operation based in the Waikato region and is currently seeking an experienced Fruit Production Supervisor to oversee orchard production activities and supervise staff. This is a full-time, permanent position.

 

  • Plan, organise and supervise fruit growing and orchard production activities
  • Coordinate planting, pruning, thinning, spraying, irrigating and harvesting operations
  • Supervise orchard workers and seasonal staff on a daily basis
  • Allocate tasks and monitor staff performance and productivity
  • Train workers in safe work practices and correct use of tools, equipment and chemicals
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety, environmental and biosecurity requirements
  • Monitor crop health, pest and disease conditions and report issues to management
  • Maintain production records, spray records and staff timesheets
  • Check quality and grading of harvested fruit to meet market standards
  • Oversee use and basic maintenance of orchard machinery and equipment
  • Assist with scheduling and resource planning across orchard blocks
  • Required 2 years of relevant work experience or a relevant qualification
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A strong commitment to workplace health and safety

Other Requirements:

  • Availability to work weekends and extended hours during peak harvest periods
  • Reliable and able to work as part of a team
