About the Role:

You’ll be involved in a wide range of fabrication and installation work including:

  • MIG, TIG and Arc welding across stainless steel, mild steel and other metals including aluminium, brass, copper and titanium

 

  • Fabrication of architectural steel components

 

  • Installation of facades, balustrades, and handrails

 

  • Workshop fabrication and assembly work

 

  • Reading and working from technical drawings

 

  • On-site installation across Auckland projects

 

  • Liaising with site managers, clients, and internal teams

 

  • Ensuring high-quality finish on all stainless and steel work

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in sheet metal fabrication or structural steel

 

  • Confident MIG, TIG, and/or Arc welding ability (essential)

 

  • Experience with architectural steelwork (essential)

 

  • Previous installation experience (handrails, balustrades, facades)

 

  • Ability to read and interpret drawings

 

  • Strong attention to detail and high-quality workmanship

 

  • Good communication skills on site and in workshop

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in metal fabrication / welding trade

 

  • Must be confident working both in workshop and on site

 

  • Experience in stainless steel highly advantageous

 

  • Legal right to work in New Zealand
