Panel Beater - Full Time - Dunedin, Otago | New Zealand

Join True Value cars, a trusted name. We are on the lookout for an experienced Panel Beater to join our growing team. You will be working on a range of vehicles - from private to fleet and insurance jobs - in a professional, well equipped workshop.

This is a permanent full time job with a minimum of 30 hours a week.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform all aspects of panel beating and structural repairs, including chassis straightening.
  • Strip, repair/replace, and refit panels and accessories as needed.
  • Use appropriate tools and materials to restore vehicles to their original condition.
  • Adhere to OEM repair standards and procedures.
  • Conduct spot welding, grinding, sanding, welding, and filler application.
  • Utilize knowledge of vehicle repair techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Car-O-Liner and computer measuring experience is an advantage.

The Ideal candidate:

•    Minimum 3 years of experience as a Panel Beater
•    Strong competency in vehicle repair techniques and structural repairs.
•    Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
•    Experience in using specialized tools and repair materials
•    Must have an eye for detail and be able to consistently produce a high quality of work
•    Be proactive and be able to problem solve with a can do attitude.
•    Must be able to drive a Manual Car and have a Full Driver's License or be ready to obtain one.
•    Must have great Health and Safety awareness and be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
