Excellent opportunity for a Retail Sales Assistant to join BOTTOMS UP LIMITED, trading as Allenton Convenience & Lotto, a successful and busy convenience store and takeaway outlet based in Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand, and become part of our friendly and dedicated team. We pride ourselves on serving quality takeaway meals, snacks, and beverages while delivering excellent customer service to our local community.

Tasks include but are not limited to: -

  • Greeting all customers in a friendly and appropriate manner

  • Assisting customers with product queries

  • Maintaining an effective knowledge of general product and product history

  • Labelling goods and ensuring the correct price is displayed 

  • Stocking products on the shelf, storage and merchandising 

  • Completing all daily store operations

  • Processing and handling cash with accuracy and diligence

  • Ensure the store sales and inventories all correctly accounted

  • Maintain the cleanliness of the store.

  • Perform any other job responsibility as requested by the store manager 

Person Specification:

  • Minimum level 1 qualification 

  • No previous work experience necessary 

  • Must be able to work on weekends and public holiday 

  • Must be able to work extra hours if required 

  • Pro-active, positive, enthusiastic, energetic, responsible and friendly

  • Passionate about providing Great Service

Location: Ashburton, Canterbury, New Zealand

Hours of Work: Minimum 35 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent Full-time

Pay Rate: $24.00 – $26.00 per hour
