We are looking for a qualified Electrician who enjoys varied, hands-on technical work in the dairy industry. This is a field-based role providing specialist electrical and maintenance support to dairy farms across the Rangiora and North Canterbury region.
If you like solving problems on-site, working with both electrical and mechanical systems, and delivering great service to farmers, this is an excellent opportunity.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, service, and repair milking machines and dairy equipment
  • Carry out electrical fault-finding, repairs, and installations on farms
  • Perform servicing, testing, and compliance checks on dairy systems
  • Undertake mechanical repairs, including pumps, motors, and basic fabrication/welding
  • Provide on-farm troubleshooting and technical support to customers
  • Mentor and support a junior Electrical Technician working towards registration
About You
Essential
  • Full EWRB Electrical Licence
  • Strong practical electrical and fault-finding skills
  • Hands-on mechanical aptitude (pumps, motors, dairy equipment)
  • Reliable, customer-focused, with a positive attitude
  • Full NZ work rights and ability to work locally in Rangiora/North Canterbury
 Advantageous
  • Previous experience with dairy milking equipment or farm machinery
  • Welding and fabrication skills
What We Offer
  • Permanent full-time role based in Rangiora
  • Competitive hourly rate of $40 – $45 per hour (depending on experience)
  • Regular hours (7:30 am – 4:00 pm) with some flexibility during peak season
