The Business Development Manager (Sales) plans, organises, directs, controls and coordinates the sales and business development activities of the company, which provides flexible personnel solutions to client operations in the manufacturing, logistics, food processing, warehousing, retail and hospitality industries.

The role leads the company's business development function, with responsibility for sales and lead generation strategy, pricing strategy, key client relationship management, and market analysis, in order to drive revenue growth and long-term client retention.

The Business Development Manager (Sales) leads the company's sales and business development activities to drive revenue growth, profitability and long-term client relationships. The role develops sales, lead generation and pricing strategies, manages key accounts, prepares RFPs and tenders, oversees market analysis and marketing initiatives, identifies new business opportunities, implements account management and KPI frameworks, coordinates with operational teams, optimises outbound sales campaigns, and delivers executive performance reports to support strategic business growth.

Location: Auckland

Hours: The position is full-time and at least 30 hours of work is guaranteed per week, additional hours may be available based on business requirements.

Wage: $40 to $42.50 per hour

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

        Developing and overseeing the company's sales and lead generation strategies to drive revenue growth.

        Developing pricing strategies, including designing and implementing dynamic pricing models and market entry strategies to enhance profitability and market share.

        Leading the business development function and managing key client relationships to ensure service alignment and long-term retention, including account maintenance, outbound and inquiry calls, and client site visits.

       Leading the preparation of RFP Proposals and tenders for prospective clients.

        Creating, evaluating and adjusting comprehensive sales strategies based on market performance data.

        Overseeing the preparation of market and competitive analysis, forecasting tools, promotions and integrated marketing campaigns.

        Ensuring the implementation of customer satisfaction and service quality frameworks across all key accounts, including customer follow-up.

        Identifying and seizing sales opportunities, and developing go-to-market strategies for business expansion, including new industry verticals and geographic markets.

        Designing and implementing company-wide account management frameworks and KPI systems.

        Coordinating cross-functional collaboration between sales and operational delivery teams, including Project and Site Managers, to ensure project outcomes align with client expectations.

        Overseeing and optimising outbound sales strategies, including cold-calling and prospecting campaigns.

        Leading the preparation of executive sales and marketing performance reports for management review.
