About the Role
We are seeking Mobile Plant Operators to join our team. The successful applicants will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of mobile concrete-related machinery on construction sites. Working hours will range from 30 to 50 hours per week, depending on the business workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and control a variety of mobile machinery and equipment on construction sites, including concrete pump trucks, concrete finishing machines, fixed pumps, forklifts, hydraulic lines, and excavators.
- Prepare work sites for machinery operations, including setup, positioning, and securing of equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Monitor the performance, efficiency, and safety of machinery during operations to ensure high-quality concrete work and compliance with Health and Safety standards
- Conduct daily inspections, routine maintenance, and minor troubleshooting of machinery and equipment.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and team members to complete concrete pumping, finishing, and related construction tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and site operations.
- Follow all relevant Health and Safety regulations, particularly regarding mobile machinery operation, hydraulic equipment handling, and site safety.
Skill and Experience Required:
- Minimum of three years of relevant experience operating mobile plant machinery in construction or a related industry.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical maintenance and identify faults.
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices in construction environments.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work as part of a team.
