Site Supervisor
Solid8 Construction Limited is an Auckland-based construction company delivering a growing pipeline of building and construction projects. As project volume and complexity increase, the business needs to secure an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations and ensure works are carried out safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.
This role is central to the business's continued growth. As Solid8 Construction takes on more concurrent projects, we need a hands-on Site Supervisor to coordinate subcontractors, labour, and material deliveries on site, monitor compliance with drawings, specifications, and health and safety requirements, and keep project management informed of on-site progress.
- Minimum Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week / Maximum 48 hours per week
- Location: Auckland
- Remuneration: $28.00 - $34.00 per hour, depending on experience
Your day-to-day work will involve:
- Assisting the Construction Manager with the planning, coordination, and supervision of daily site operations
- Interpreting construction drawings, specifications, building regulations, and relevant codes of practice
- Reviewing and coordinating site documentation, including drawings, work schedules, and technical specifications
- Monitoring site progress and maintaining accurate records of works completed, variations, and site activities
- Coordinating construction activities, subcontractors, labour, and material deliveries to ensure timely project completion
- Inspecting construction work and materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health and safety requirements
- Assisting with cost control, material usage, and monitoring project timelines against construction schedules
- Conducting routine site measurements, collecting site data, and preparing progress reports to support project management
Applicants for this role should have:
- Relevant qualification in construction management, building, or a related trade, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in construction, or a Bachelor degree in any field
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, building regulations, and codes of practice
- Good knowledge of health and safety requirements on construction sites
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate multiple trades and priorities
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively with Construction Managers, subcontractors, and other site personnel
